Running trips in Ethiopia

Bradt Ethiopia Travel News

Gregory writes:

Kaleab, a good Ethiopian friend of mine from Barcelona, set up a Running Travel Agency (links below) two years ago and it’s become quite successful – mostly Swiss, Spanish and the odd Englishman too, and a few races combined with sight-seeing… I’ve done it and loved it.

He takes people running with experienced marathonists around Asela and Bekoji, or another group was running around Gonder with the usual “sites” as cultural offer. Up next: a 14 km cross country race around Ambo lake, all logistics supplied with expected “comforts” for the international visitor.

Anyhow, for fear of overselling, I do recommend it, and I would say it’s something that sportier readers of your Ethiopia Guidebook may be pleased to know about.
